Johns Creek, Georgia

Johns Creek is located in Fulton County, and was just incorporated on December 1, 2006. Johns Creek is named for a body of water that runs through the area, a significant tributary of the Chattahoochee RIver, and the city was created out of the entire unincorporated eastern part of northern Fulton County. With Roswell to the west and south, Alpharetta to the northwest, Gwinnett County to the south and east, and Forsyth County to the north, Johns Creek is the state's tenth-largest city.

Johns Creek's "Must See" Attractions:

  • Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area - (a National Park) is spread over a 48-mile section of the Chattahoochee River. It consists of 16 different areas or units beginning below Lake Lanier dam in Forsyth County and ending at Peachtree Creek in metro Atlanta.
  • Autry Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center - has 46 acres of ravine forest, with more than a mile of walking trails which wind past a scenic creek with rocky shoals, picturesque cliffs, mature trees, wildflowers, native plants and animal life.
